Jonathan Meyer, Consultant
Jonathan was admitted to practice in 1976 and has practised continually for the last 38 years. He initially became a partner in McCusker and Harmer in 1977 and then set up his own practice with Michael McPhee in Fremantle in 1980. The firm grew and subsequently became known as Michell Sillar McPhee & Meyer with offices in four States.
Jonathan left Perth in 1992 to reside in the south west and commenced in partnership with Dennis Beere and Peter May. Recently, each of the parties have amicably gone their own way and Jonathan established the legal firm Jonathan Meyer Lawyer in Busselton at 53 Peel Terrace, Busselton.
He remains a consultant to Lane Buck & Higgins at the same address and has extensive experience in Property Law, Contract and Commercial Law, Conveyancing, Commercial agriculture with emphasis on viticulture, companies, Wills and deceased estate, trusts and advises a number of pharmacists in relation to their rights, entitlements and obligations under the Pharmacy Act in Western Australia.
Heather Klein, Consultant
Heather studied law at the University of Western Australia graduating with First Class Honours in 1981 and worked for large Perth Law Firms before moving to Busselton in 1988.
Heather was an honorary Board Member of Ray Village Aged Services (Inc) (formerly Villa Maria Homes), Busselton from 1989 to 2003, including the last four years as Chairperson.
Heather has also been involved with other local community groups such as the Busselton Family Centre; the Busselton Kindergarten Committee; the Busselton Netball Association; the Board and Parents & Friends Association of St. Joseph’s Primary School, Busselton; and the Board and Finance Committee of MacKillop Catholic College, Busselton.
Shelley Acham, Solicitor
Shelley was admitted in 2006 and practiced as a General Lawyer in a small suburban practice in Fremantle. Her areas of law includes Wills, Powers of Attorney, Probate, Inheritance Claims, Commercial Law, Family Law, Personal Injuries and Civil Litigation primarily in the Magistrates Court. A sea change since March 2015 has brought Shelley to Busselton where she enjoys the challenges of practicing as a country lawyer and loves the community spirit of the South West. Shelley also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree as well as an MBA. Her special interest is in Wills and Estate Planning and particularly, Binding Financial Agreements which, she believes, is a valuable asset protection tool.
