Lane Buck & Higgins is looking for a Legal Secretary in our Narrogin office.
This is a full-time position suitable for a person with some previous administration experience.
The role of a legal secretary at Lane Buck & Higgins encompasses preparing, sending, and receiving the longer correspondence for the lawyers, (both letters and e-mails) document filing, (hard and soft copy) backup to the receptionist, (phones, account payments over the counter, appointments etc. whilst receptionist at lunch/away) completion of forms for lodgement with various agencies, preparing draft legal documents from templates on the lawyers instruction, database management, (updating addresses ph. numbers etc.) typing out the shorthand file notes made by the lawyers in the client meetings.
We will require a person who can maintain the strictest confidence, is reasonably quick and accurate on the keyboard, is confident amongst all people, has good literacy skills, and aspires to excellence.
The opportunity for growth in this role is by way of a certificate in legal studies, through paralegal studies and on to practice management or law if so desired.

We are seeking a full-time receptionist/administration assistant to join our Busselton office.
This is an entry-level position with training and development provided and the position would be suitable for recent high school leavers.
The position has come available due to promotion, and the person who is being promoted will be available to mentor and support you into the role.
Key Responsibilities & duties include:
- Managing reception area
- Answering telephone and taking clear and concise messages
- Opening and Closing files
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail
- Document filing, printing and binding
- Managing emails and office calendar
- Banking as required
- Other administrative duties as required
You will be interacting with clients, other law firms and the courts on a daily basis.
We will require a person who can maintain the strictest confidence, has a good telephone manner, is accurate on the keyboard, is confident amongst all people, has a willingness to learn, has good literacy and communication skills, is organised, has knowledge of Microsoft products (Outlook, Word and Excel) and aspires to excellence.
