Our Process

Lane Buck & Higgins has a long history of providing legal services to regional Western Australia. The firm has links with providing over 100 years of service to the Great Southern region of Western Australia and the current office sits on the site of the first law firm to establish in Narrogin. The current Principal of the firm, Bronwen O’Sullivan, came to Narrogin to take over Lane Buck & Higgins after the death of John Higgins in 1994 when the firm she was working for purchased the Practice from Mr Higgin’s Estate.

In 2012 the opportunity to purchase the practice of Dennis Beere & Associates in Margaret River came along which allowed the Firm to expand in the South West. The following year the practice of Jon Meyer Legal in Busselton also joined the firm.

We now have 6 solicitors and 1 consultant working in the firm with support staff including paralegal & conveyancing clerks. We are one of the largest regional law firms in WA and able to offer a broad range of services to our clients. With links to many of the leading Consulting, Accounting & Financial Planning firms servicing regional Western Australia we are able to assist family businesses in an efficient & co-operative manner.

A commitment to

Cyber Security

With yet another large data breach occurring this month, (March 2023) we would like to confirm our continued commitment to cyber security.

We value your privacy, and with verification of identity (VOI) a legislated requirement for land transactions, we must collect some very sensitive and important data from you, our clients.

In order to prevent data theft, we only keep hard copies of the VIO documents. We store these documents in a fireproof vault, with the wills, EPA’s, title deeds and other important documents.

Our practice management software has the capacity to store the VOI data electronically, we choose not to use it. This decision is both conservative and sensible, and is a little more time consuming.

Most importantly of all, our decision to keep your personal identification documents away from our file servers and the internet, keeps your personal identification documents safe.

Testimonial

As the Chairman of Central Agcare, I appreciated the prompt and straightforward advice received from Bronwen at Lane Buck & Higgins in Narrogin. She gave our committee the clarity we needed.
