John was admitted in 1996 and his practice focuses on general commercial law, property law, estates and succession planning, companies and trusts. He joined Lane Buck and Higgins originally in our Narrogin office where he developed expertise advising farmers in particular in relation to their estates and succession. In 2016 he moved to Busselton to take over Jonathan Meyer’s practice including advising pharmacists in relation to their rights, entitlements and obligations under the Pharmacy Act.
John originally started legal practice in South Australia working generally in commercial and property law. Later he developed experience in other Australian jurisdictions when he worked as a senior executive with the Australian Government Solicitor (AGS). At AGS he was responsible for large government procurements and projects including the Commonwealth government bank funding guarantee during the global financial crisis. His work there lead to him being appointed adviser to the Office of the State Solicitor in Papua New Guinea where he worked on domestic and international commercial matters and developing the capabilities of that Office.
John has moved with his young family to Busselton which he intends making their home.
